You Don’t Have to Earn Love
Today, in episode 154 of season two, we’re diving into a belief that many of us silently carry: the idea that we have to earn love. Maybe you’ve caught yourself thinking, “I’m not productive enough… not attractive enough… not helpful enough…” But what you’re really saying is, “I’m not worthy of love.” And today, I’m here to lovingly challenge that.
Let’s be real—this belief often starts in childhood, when love was given only if we met expectations. Maybe you were praised only when you got good grades, or affection came when you were quiet, polite, and easy to handle.
Over time, that praise turned into a pattern: “If I perform, I’m loved. If I don’t, I’m not.” That’s called conditional regard, and it creates deep insecurity. But hear me—real love doesn’t work like that.
Real love sees your flaws and stays. It doesn’t punish you for being human. And most importantly, love begins with you. So today, I’m going to give you tools to start unlearning that old belief.
We’re doing the work—mirror work, journaling, affirmations—because you don’t have to do more to be more. You just have to be. You are already enough.
